So, as you've probably figured out, there's no coding stream today. There is coding, but it's for one of my classes, as I have 2 major C# projects and 1 game development project due on Sunday, and I don't know when I'll have time off before then.
The good news is I have two weeks off from school starting Monday (Christmas Eve, go figure), so I'll probably have some extra time to catch up on things.

Days of Old
Remember the days gone by when I would wake up early in the morning and start coding right away?
...yeah, me neither. Anyway, that's what I'm doing now. I can't guarantee I'll be working all day today (I never work all day anyway), as I have a project for one of my classes that I really need to work on today as well. But I should be able to get at least a few hours of work invested.

Derailed
Been sick lately, which sucks. Today took a turn of the worse as my sore throat went way, way beyond sore. Not sure why, doctors couldn't figure it out either. The current thinking is that I abraded (scratched) my throat and that the only real solution is pain management.
So now I'm on Vicodin, weeeeee!
The problem is that it's making me really scatterbrained (there's a reason I avoid narcotics), so sadly, coding is out for tonight.
Also, there's this thing Thursday called Thanksgiving, which will be taking up some of my time. So it might be that there's no streaming this week. We'll see what happens.

Nun Brothels? We gots 'em.
Yes, we're still on nuns and their sexual proclivities. Considering I have about forty pages of shit related to this damn place, I got to work on it.
Here some more stuff on the brothel:
In addition to managing the convent-cum-brothel, you have to manage the girls as well. They all have their own idea of how the brothel should be run (generally along one of the three paths), and while they'll like the upgrades related to those paths, they won't be pleased if you choose other upgrades. While you obviously can't cater to everyone's needs (there's two girls that hate each upgrade path), you have to figure out how to keep them happy, whether that's sacrificing some profit to give to the girl, or devoting some of your personal time to keeping her happy, since all six girls like when they get personal attention.
Of course, if you spend too much consecutive time with one girl, the others will get jealous.
Top that off with the fact that the girls aren't machines, and will get tired, and you have a bunch of time-management issues here. That being said, the goal is to make it as easy to manage as possible, so it shouldn't be cumbersome. But again, there's no promotions here, so it almost has to be more complicated.
You can also train the girls in different fetishes (which counts as personal time, FYI), which will take a while. When they finish training, they provide a boost to your profit when they work, but you can keep training them. If they get to level 2, they get another bonus, and if they get to level 3, they get a third bonus (usually a bonus to upgrade funds). But each girl will have a base fetish (that can be trained, but can't be removed) and a synergistic fetish that, if they train in it, gives them the bonus and makes them more happy, but you can't retrain the second fetish anymore.
So all this dicking around with training and happiness and money, eventually you're going to get someone pissed at you. If a girl's happiness reaches zero (and there'll be notifications), she'll leave. Which sounds great - you just got rid of someone that was dragging down your business - until you find out that they continue to drag down your business: the calculations for various things will always use all six girls, even if some of them aren't working for you, and a girl that's left is considered a zero for every check.
But it's still going to be hard to keep everyone happy, right? What's a frustrated and possibly evil brothel madam to do? Why, enslave your workers, of course. Buying a particular upgrade will give you the option of dominating your girls, one at a time. It'll take more than one session to do, and each session will severely lower happiness (with one specific exception), but if you can complete the domination before they hit zero happiness, then they'll become perfectly cowed and subservient employees (and you'll take a hit on your morality score). And that's not all: like fetishes, domination has three levels, with each level fixing the happiness score of the girl at a higher level (and giving her more accoutrements, like a collar at level 1, or a property tattoo at level 3). However, dominated girls cannot reach the highest happiness level (90-100), so you're usually better off not dominating them if you can help it. Unless you're into that.

More Nun Brothels!
It's done.
So, how does the convent brothel work? Well, it's easy. And complicated. But complicated things can be easy. This isn't. What was I talking about again?
After you successfully sex up all the nuns, the next time you go to the convent, they'll beg you to take over as Mother Superior of the convent, kicking out the old biddy that's already there. If you decline, they are essentially forced to admit that they've broken their celibacy, they're kicked out, and the convent is closed (you monster). If you accept, then you do just that: you kick out the mother superior, take over the convent (as your new full-time job), and, to make money, put the girls to work.
There are three ways you can run the brothel (I call them paths): you can run it as a convent that ministers to people with sex (Religious), you can run it for the sake of making money (Profit), or you can run it to convince people that sex is the point, and they should give you everything to help you spread the word (Cult).
The day-to-day running of the brothel is pretty easy. You head to work and end up in your office. In your office are three objects: the Ledger, the Model and the Board. The Ledger is what you use to run day-to-day activities: you can train girls, get them to help you work off your arousal, work the accounting books, and some other stuff. The Board lets you keep track of the girls' current states, including appearance and skills (which is important, since they won't generally be available to view normally anymore). The Model is where you decide how to change the convent.
Each day you work, you get Job Performance points, but unlike other careers, you can't get promoted: there's no higher position, after all. So the Job Performance points instead are used to rebuild the convent, representing the saved up cash from operations. Do you want to change the decorations? Maybe get some new clothes for the girls? You need to have sufficient JP to do so. Each upgrade has three potential variants, which have different benefits and drawbacks, and also correspond to the three paths mentioned before.
While you're running the convent, you have choices to make. A sex shop is illegal, so you'll be in danger of the police shutting you down if they find out about your operation. The more your convent looks like, well, a convent, the longer it will take for the police to get the evidence they need. The more it looks like a crazy sex cult, the less time it will take. But you can bribe the police to leave you alone, which will personally cost you money. In addition, running a brothel out of a convent is difficult because people aren't quite expecting it, so at the beginning you'll take home very little personal pay. But as you improve the brothel and fund shadowy "advertising", your profitability will increase to the point that you can take home up to $500 a day. But more exposure means more police interest...
So that's the brothel in a nutshell: a consistent, persistent location where you call the shots, and can change things over time to increase profit and decrease visibility with the cops, where you can decide if you want your girls to act like nuns that have sex, or shuck the habit and put on some thigh-high leather boots. Where you can run it as your own private harem, or teach the girls how to treat their customers just right.

Streaming
The problem with staying up until 3 in the morning is that you have a really hard time getting going when you wake up.
But going I am. I have been too long from coding, and killed many filthy aliens. Now, I turn my attention to things of greater import: coding adult adventure/life-sim games.
In the interests of doing something different (for me), I'm going to work on the Church Corruption path that won out in the poll (anyone who is surprised by this turn of events does not know the intarwebs) for a while, at least. So much to do...

X-Tremely X-Cellent Stream
So here's the deal. X-Com Enemy Unknown comes out tomorrow. I've been looking forward to that game since I learned about it at PAX East earlier this year, and although I've ignored just about everything about it, including gameplay videos, spoilers and screenshots, I know it's going to be awesome. It's going to be amazing. I'm going to have SO MUCH FUN playing it.
And tomorrow is my normal streaming night.
SO FUCK THAT. Instead, I'm streaming right now. Tomorrow I'll be streaming X-Com. Then Wednesday I'll stream some coding AND THEN SOME MORE X-COM!

Plans are just a bunch of things that don't happen
So I was going to stream yesterday. And then didn't when things kept getting in the way, like dishes and laundry and life. So it didn't happen.
Then I was going to stream tonight, and instead remembered that my parents are moving this weekend and I still had a bunch of stuff in their house that I needed to pick up, including a free TV (awesome!) and a bunch of heavy boxes (not so awesome).
So the last two days have been pretty shitty. I am trying to get back into the swing of things here, but today's pretty much a wash.
Depending on how much homework I have (last time I looked it didn't seem like a lot), I might be streaming this weekend, but otherwise I'll be streaming on Monday for sure.

Streaming for reals
Well, not anymore, since I finished for the day.
Got quite a bit of the Crime and Punishment done. The basic way it works is that, for every illegal action you perform (public indecency/nudity, theft, assault, solicitation, etc), you get guilt points. The number of points you get depends on the severity of the crime. Once your guilt gets to 50+ points (on a scale of 0-100), there's an increasing chance that the police will show up at your apartment between early afternoon and night to arrest you.
Once you're arrested, you can pay the fine, or spend time in jail (warning, spending time in jail will be REALLY boring!). Either way, when you've done that, your guilt resets to zero and, depending on the severity of the crime you were arrested for, you get between 1 and 3 points added to your criminal record. The more points you have in your criminal record, the more severe the fines/sentences you have to face for your crimes.
At the end of every day, your guilt drops by 1 point, so if you go long enough without getting all up in the illegal activity, then you're off scot-free.
Eventually, I want to make it so that if you're arrested a lot, you get a trait for it (Criminal), which gives bonuses to slightly counter the penalties you get for spending time in jail (you'll still want to avoid spending time in jail, though), as well as additional options while in jail, instead of the wait/nap/exercise options that are planned for this release.

Streaming Sick...again
Voice has at least partially recovered, so I might as well work. Sickness is no deterrent unless I let it.
Today, I think I'll work a little on crime and punishment. Should be, well...relatively easy.
Edit: Okay, maybe not so easy. In order to make the punishment section work properly, I have to work on the crime part. On the plus side, public nudity? Oh yeah, that's on tap.

Time for coding is over!
This ended up being a bug fix stream (god, I hate bug fixing). But I also finally finished all the robot upgrade descriptions, so those are completely done, which means the Transformation Overhaul is officially done...three weeks after it was released. Deeeeerrrrrrrrp.
Anyway, new version is here. I'll post the complete list of fixed stuff later.
Also, as mentioned in the stream, I actually have a large amount of next week off from my day job, so I'm hoping to get at least 2 productive coding sessions out of it.

Have I mentioned that I hate bug fixes?
- Shoes can now be worn again.
- Komodo cigarettes will no longer turn into regular cigarettes.
Also made the following changes:
- A lot of things have been made more obvious, like the note that must be read for the second mission.
- The closet now has a command (after reading the note after choosing a job) that explains the clothing system. It will disappear after using it once, but it should be pretty helpful for explaining the clothing system, in particular the exercise clothing mechanic.
- The toolkit got some more descriptions.
- Changed the second mission so that Maria will now give you the Brittany mission whether you seduced her or not.
- A few other minor tweaks here and there.

Bug Fix Stream
Yes, I am tired. But I am also hungry. And not allowed to eat. So I might as well do something while I wait to get tired enough to ignore my hunger and fall asleep.
Something like bug fixes!
EDIT: It's late, I'm tired, and I've run out of steam. Updated version is here.
The following bugs have been fixed:
- Going to sleep while smoking will no longer prevent you from smoking ever again (tested and confirmed as working)
- Going out jogging with the sports bra set will no longer cause the "not-wearing-underwear" message to show up. This is kind of a temporary fix, in that going out jogging without underwear also won't cause that message to show up, until I figure out a better way to fix it.
- Once you start an inhuman transformation the wolf claw necklace will disappear. If you somehow manage to get all your TF counters back down to zero, it will reappear.
- The toolkit is now in the furniture store. Or should be.

The following bugs have been fixed:
- Going to sleep while smoking will no longer prevent you from smoking ever again (tested and confirmed as working)
- Going out jogging with the sports bra set will no longer cause the "not-wearing-underwear" message to show up. This is kind of a temporary fix, in that going out jogging without underwear also won't cause that message to show up, until I figure out a better way to fix it.
- Once you start an inhuman transformation the wolf claw necklace will disappear. If you somehow manage to get all your TF counters back down to zero, it will reappear.
- The toolkit is now in the furniture store. Or should be.

Update 8/30: Transformation Overhaul
Yay, it's done.
BIG NOTE: This update DOES use the new RAGS 2.4.0.0 update. You can download the suite for free from here.
Major Changes:
- Catgirl, cowgirl, succubus, dragon and werewolf have all been completely overhauled to have additional traits and effects. The full list of effects would take far too long to update, so I'm gonna be lazy for now and not bother.
- Wings now allow you to fly to specific destinations once per day. Some destinations are not available (such as work locations) because it would screw up the time intervals and you wouldn't be able to work. So in the interests of not creating bugs, for now at least, you can't fly to those places.
- Dragons and Succubi have specific wing iterations that DO NOT show morality the way feathered wings do (yet). Also, succubi cannot fly: their wings are too small.
- Robots can now install upgrades by buying the toolkit (only after completing the robot TF). Note that I forgot to finish the descriptions for a lot of the steps of the upgrades, BUT the upgrades themselves will work: just keep using the Continue Working action until it's no longer available.
Minor Changes:
- A variety of stuff here and there. Nothing major, but you might notice some changes.

Tuesday Stream?!?
Time for more coding.
EDIT: And done. Robot upgrades are all done but for the writing, which shouldn't take more than 30-45 minutes. So 99% done there. Thursday, I'll have to finish the werewolf upgrades, the high succubus stuff, and the wing changes. Hopefully I can get it all done then so that I can put out a release. If not, then I'll probably cut the wing changes and push them to the next update.

Stream Time
Note to self: do not decide to organize your music. It takes forever.
Today, I want to finish the Robot Upgrades system, which, now that I know what I'm doing, shouldn't actually take that long.
Today I did not finish the Robot Upgrades system, but I did get way more than halfway through it. So I should be able to finish it in the very near future, possibly this weekend if I find the time.
I do have a bit of a quandary, though, in that there are two upgrade locations with only two special upgrades, the lower torso, and the head. The way the system works, you can have two special upgrades active at any time, so only having two upgrades for those locations makes things a bit...odd, since you don't have to make choices. So if anyone has an idea for upgrades that could go in those locations, let me know in the stream.
And before anyone suggests it, no, no artificial wombs for robots. They cannot have children, period (PUN!).
Got that all sorted out.

Stroming Done!
Cowgirl and Dragon TFs are now completely done. I've also made the decision that the Succubus Lust Bomb action will not be in this update because I can't really contemplate writing two dozen sex scenes right now (unless someone wants to volunteer to do just that...). So a bunch of things bumped up to 100% today. Not too shabby. Getting closer to another update release.
Apparently RAGS has a new version, 2.4.0.0. I said after the debacle with 2.2 that I would wait until stable versions are released to update...and it seems like this is a stable update. So, I'll be working in that today. I doubt there's any substantive changes in the new version (I honestly haven't checked the changelog), but since 2.3 isn't available anymore, I have to go with what's available.
I've gotten a few questions in the last few days, so I figure I'll answer the more general ones here:
1) When installing RAGS, for the love of God use the .msi version if you're having problems with the .exe version. There's something about the .exe version that gets all funky at time.
2) RAGS only works on Windows, or Windows emulators. Sorry about that.
3) The next update will be when the next update is complete. You can see the progress on the right. I used to release much smaller, incremental updates, but now I prefer to finish new content before releasing anything.

Big Time Work Done
Stream is up. I want to try to get most, if not all of the transformation changes done today. It'll take some time, and I have other things that I really need to do today, so we'll see how it goes.

Streaming Time
There's going to be two streams today. This first one will be new content from the Transformation update, and the later stream will be dedicated to bug fixes until I get bored and go back to new content (which is hopefully after the bugs are fixed).

The Schedule Gets Weird Again
So I've been asked to work longer hours this week at my job, which is great, because, you know, money. But it sucks, because not as much free time, and when I get home, I'm too exhausted to do much of anything productive.
In addition, my wife has taken this week off from work. Since Thursday is my only real day off during the week, and she has Thursday off, we're going to do something together that day.
What this means is that my schedule for streaming is kind of borked this week. However, fear not. Because I have Tuesday and Wednesday off next week, which means that I'll have three days in which I won't have to do much of anything. Which is, you know, nice. And I'll be able to work on stuff, which is also, you know, nice.
tl;dr This week is a little weird and I may or may not be streaming, but I will be working pretty hard on stuff next week.

Streaming Done
Today, some bug fixes, then more transformation overhauls. I should be able to get the Cat overhaul complete today, which is a pretty big milestone for a few hours of work. Cat and Cow have two of the most annoying changes, which are speech effects (the cat says "nya" at the end of some sentences, and the cow says "mmmm" for certain words), so if I can get one of those done, I'll feel pretty good about progress for today.

Late Night Streaming
There were other things occupying my attention earlier tonight. I don't know how long this stream will last, but I did want to work on at least a couple of things. Besides, my sleep schedule is fucked up anyway.
I know there are a lot of bug in the 7/19a version, but I don't really want to do any bug fixes tonight. I want to actually add new stuff, so that's what I'm going to do. I'll work on bug fixes on Thursday.
Anyway, I thought you might be interested in some other stuff that has magically appeared in my notebook. Note that not all of these are guaranteed to make it into the game, but rather are the result of brainstorming additional content similar to the church nuns and the mermaid: side-quests that the player can engage in or ignore.
Webcam: Buy a webcam, start your own internet business. What are you selling? Why, yourself of course. Give the internet a striptease, or hire a "helper" and really give them a show. But remember that the internet is looking for something very specific: you'll need to make sure you look the part of the amateur porn star to get the best fees.
Balls: You've got your dick back, but what about your balls? Well, with the new drug that's sweeping the nation, you can increase the size of your balls, or, in your case, bring them back to life. Mostly Fixed
EDIT: I forgot to properly code the event that adds the wolf claw necklace to the jewelry store. I have uploaded version 7/19a to fix that here. That's the only change, so if you're not interested in it, don't worry about it.
So let's figure out what's been fixed in this update, shall we?
1) Komodo cigarettes are now always smoke-able, as long as you're not currently smoking.
2) All clothes should now be affected by the Strip command, and all clothes can now be removed anywhere in the apartment.
3) Komodo cigarettes will now show how many you have left in the pack.
4) Going to sleep while smoking will stub out your cigarette. While this will still result in the normal health loss for smoking, it WILL NOT add to your dragon transformation, so finish the smoke first.
5) The final stage of the dragon transformation now properly updates your description.
6) Outfits gained by declining promotions at the strip club (waitress outfit, slutty schoolgirl outfit, cheerleader outfit) have had their logic completely changed, and should now work like normal clothes.
7) Genevieve should now either take your calls at any time, or at least give you a message that she's ignoring your calls.
8) Add Furry Fetish on the testing item works now.
9) Babies 2 and 3 can be interacted with. Also changed the logic on baby interactions. Feeding and changing diapers doesn't take time, but playing and snuggling both use half time updates. So playing and snuggling with all three babies will use up three time blocks. You're welcome.
10) Getting bedridden with triplets will now advance time properly to the end of the day.
11) Underwear can now be removed properly at home.
12) After giving birth to triplets, you'll be able to leave the bedroom and get dressed again.

3) The fertility treatment at the doctor's office can act as though you've received it recently when you haven't received it at all - The only way this could possibly happen is if you're pregnant, even if you don't know that you're pregnant.
4) It's possible to be unable to work as a Private Dancer, the Go to Work command does nothing - Nothing in the code supports this, and I don't know what could possibly cause it.
5) Clothes still get stuck in inventory when returning home from the beach - STILL cannot find out why this is happening, and I can't reproduce it.

It is designed to make it possible to encounter the werewolves whenever you want until you get infected with lycanthropy.

1) I added the wolf claw necklace as an item. It has a 30% chance of showing up randomly in the mall when you go there. If you wear the necklace and go out or travel somewhere during the evening, night or late night, you will encounter the werewolf. If you get infected as a result, you'll lose the necklace forever (as it has served it's purpose). The necklace has literally no other purpose: it does not increase charisma or anything else. It is designed to make it possible to encounter the werewolves whenever you want until you get infected with lycanthropy.

Stream Over
Gotta get these bug fixed done this week, so might as well start now.
Here's the list of bugs that need fixing that have been reported (in no particular order):
1) It's possible to smoke the komodo cigarettes and not be able to smoke them again.
2) Some clothes can't be stripped off or removed. (Fixed the form-fitting clothes, couldn't find anything else that would be causing problems.)
3) Komodo cigarettes don't show how many are left in the pack.
4) Sleeping while smoking doesn't have the cigarette go out.
5) The final stage of the dragon transformation never actually finalizes (player examine doesn't update)
6) Wearing anything other than designated work clothes to the strip club gets them stuck in the locker. (Can't reproduce, can't find the logic that would cause this. Need more information.)
7) Outfits gained by declining promotions at the strip club get stuck in your inventory.
8) For some reason, after a certain point, Genevieve no longer accepts phone calls.
9) Add Furry Fetish on the testing item doesn't work (seriously, the testing item shouldn't be the major concern, ffs).
10) Can't interact with baby #2 or #3.
11) Getting bedridden with triplets doesn't let you go to sleep at the end of the day.
12) Underwear doesn't get removed with the remove command at home.
13) After giving birth to triplets, if you were stuck in the bedroom, you're still stuck in the bedroom.
14) At max arousal, it's possible to get the "Make him wear a condom" message, even though you shouldn't.
15) It's possible to get stuck at the strip club while pregnant if you just signed up for the job.
16) The werewolf transformation doesn't happen during the full moon after the original transformation.
17) It's possible to get pregnant despite lesbian sex. (I'm almost convinced that there's another cause for this, as the game doesn't run the proper timer for pregnancy during any lesbian sex. Need more information.)
18) At least one max arousal scene doesn't actually reduce arousal.
19) It should not be possible for werewolves to start an inhuman TF.
20) Withdrawal from the aphrodisiac can leave arousal stuck at 70%.
21) Random events while travelling are much more likely (which is fine, but they shouldn't happen all the time). (I completely forgot that I changed the frequency of the random events.)
22) Checking the mail after the letter from the mother results in an error message.
23) It's somehow possible to get Nymphomaniac without Slut.
24) Once you've exhausted the actual discussion options with Genevieve at the mall, you can talk to her repeatedly the same day.
25) When underwear doesn't fit using the Get Dressed option, it doesn't get discarded as it would when you try to wear it manually. (Tested with all underwear and all outfits, couldn't reproduce.)
26) Having sex with the succubus you can give birth to doesn't reduce arousal.
27) Multiple repeat messages occur when using the inflatable dildo.
28) It's possible to initiate the robot TF while another TF is complete, which won't actually activate the robot TF, but will restrict things as if you were a robot.
29) The fertility treatment at the doctor's office can act as though you've received it recently when you haven't received it at all. (Couldn't reproduce, the only way for this to be possible is if you're pregnant; even if you don't know that you are, she'll refuse to give you the treatment.)
30) It's possible to get stuck in the Private Dancer job, unable to actually work. (Couldn't reproduce, need more information.)
As you can see, many of the bugs have been fixed. The rest will take more time, as they're more complicated than simply tweaking code. I'll get those fixed Thursday.

To be clear, I'm looking for any and all bugs that you might be encountering, even if they have nothing to do with the update. I'm planning on doing a massive bug fix on Tuesday and Thursday (if need be), to squash as many bugs as possible before I start on the next version next Tuesday.

Update 7/12
Two months later...
Multipregnancy is in the game. You can become pregnant with identical twins (boys or girls), fraternal twins (always a boy and a girl), or triplets (boys or girls only). Clothing descriptions haven't changed (yet). There's a new variable: Multiple Pregnancy Chance. This starts at 1%, but is increased by ANY increase in fertility (feminine tea, fertility treatment, etc). It decreases very slowly, so unless you want every sexual encounter to potentially result in twins or triplets, you may not want to raise it too much.
Also, I finally realized that I never moved babies to the bedroom after they were born, so...I did that. Babies # 2 and 3 don't have any interactions because I just realized I forgot about that, so good job, me.
Oh, and if you're pregnant with triplets, you might want to keep your strength above 50. Otherwise, you might find it difficult to do...anything.
Werewolf TF has been changed slightly. You can no longer become a werewolf if you started down any of the inhuman TFs. If you have, the official reasoning is that the inhuman DNA isn't compatible with the infection; it just doesn't take.
Dragon TF is now in the game, activated by the new Komodo cigarettes item. Unlike other TFs, when you reach the appropriate threshold for a change, it happens immediately, so if you're in public, you'll get slightly different scenes than if you're at home. Also, on occasion, you will be sent home after the change, so be careful if you're smoking at work or something.
There are now penalties for arousal in the game, sort of. It will alter your skills temporarily, but the game isn't set up to recognize the new skill variables, so it doesn't actually do anything yet. That would've taken a few hours, and I don't have that time right now. Next update, or next bug fix. Anyway, if you get to max arousal, you will either masturbate or have sex (if you're at home or in public, respectively). Who you have sex with depends on your sexual orientation, and what kind of sex you have depends on if you're a futanari or not.
Also, if you're a werewolf, there's entirely unique arousal effects, but the max arousal penalty includes implied vore. So if you're not into that, either don't become a werewolf, or don't let your arousal max out if you do.
Finally, I added three new testing item commands. One is to make yourself pregnant (single, twins, triplets, your choice). The other two are for adding traits for testing purposes. Both normal traits and sex traits are available. You can also clear your current traits, but be aware that if you've become a futanari, and clear the sex traits, the game will act as though you do not have a penis, and you will not be able to get it back. So...careful with that.
I have not done any bug fixes since the last update, so be aware of that. If you have a bug to report, send an email. I can sort through those and get a bug fix out next week before I start the next update.

Codin'!
Got to get this update out, so I can get on to the next thing!
I counted up my pages of notes today, something I never really bothered to do, but I had a brain fart today and couldn't think of anything else to do while waiting for it to clear (I do keep track of my mechanical pencil usage, which today resulted in the death of pencil #10). As it turns out, I have 368 pages of notes for this game, over 3 notebooks (2 and 1/2 so far, anyway). That...is a lot of notes.
Today's notes mostly revolved around the coding specifics of the various transformation changes, which is ten pages, brainstorming for new main plot and side plot content (things like the church nuns, or the mermaid at the beach), and figuring out the specifics of what happens when a werewolf player meets the werewolf random encounter while out and about.
Also came up with a few new items. Someone pointed out that there's no items to reduce lip and hip size, so I had to come up with those (minty lip gloss and keggles DVD, respectively). Someone in the comments mentioned that the werewolf event is so random that it's hard to trigger, so I had to come up with an item that would guarantee the event happening (Wolf Claw Necklace, costs between $250 and $450, I haven't decided yet). And even after all this, I still haven't figured out a way to trigger the Doggirl TF (Energy drinks: makes a single home exercise action take a full time block, but you get twice the benefits, adds to Dog TF).
Suffice to say, despite the fact that I'm not coding all that much lately (life is busy, and when I'm not busy, I usually have other things I want to do), I haven't been sitting on my ass here. Work work work.

Apologies
So, obviously, there was no stream on Thursday. There's a lot of things that happened, but what it basically came down to was I hadn't done any work on my classes for the week, and I had to play catch-up for the morning. Then in the afternoon, I had to clean up my apartment, something I haven't done in weeks. It was almost at a 1 on the Apartment Cleanliness scale.
This week should be a bit more straight-forward in terms of scheduling, and I even have Wednesday off for Independence Day, which is nice, so the hope is that I'll be able to get a lot done.

Stream Down
Got the Dragon TF started. It has a bit more work to do, though. Gonna try and get some more of that done before Thursday.
Fun story! You might notice that the Dean update item has been removed. I actually did some stuff on that the other day...and then it disappeared. No idea how. Not even a corrupted file, it's just...gone. I'm starting to think I didn't save it, but I seriously have no idea what happened to it.
In any event, it's not really germaine to the update, so I decided to remove it and push it off to another update.

Multiple pregnancies are almost complete. It's just a matter of finishing the birthing scenes, which are half-done. I'm not including maternity clothing changes in this update, though. Those will take hours that will just push back the update even more.

Catgirls
Playful - Catgirls find fun in everything they do. Arousal rises slightly slower (-1 point for every 5 points you would normally gain).
Oh, Shiny! - Catgirls are easily distracted by their natural curiosity. Tasking requiring focus, such as skill training and jobs, have a 20% chance of going poorly (no Job Performance or skill gain, but the time block is still used up).
Litters - Catgirls tend to give birth to multiple children (Multiple Pregnancy Chance increases by 20 and cannot go below 20).
Heat - When capable of conceiving, catgirls go into heat. Fertility is increased by 20, and arousal cannot go below 40.
Caterwauling - Catgirl vocal cords and new instincts make the catgirl sound different. Sentences sometimes have meowing sounds, and are occasionally punctuated with "nya". Music skill cannot go above 75.

Milk Machine - Cowgirls lactate almost constantly. Lactation cannot go below 75, and breasts cannot go below D-cup.
Muscle Mass - Despite their docility, cowgirls are quite strong. Strength cannot go below 40.
Off-Balance (udder only) - Cowgirls with udders find it difficult to move gracefully. Dancing skill cannot go above 50.
Moo! - Cowgirls tend to moo, either by drawing out "m" sounds, or during sex as a lusty exclamation.

Always Ready - As creatures of lust, succubi are always ready for a romp in the proverbial hay. Arousal cannot go below 50.
Depraved - Nothing is taboo for a succubus. They are experienced with all sexual kinks and fetishes, with the exception of Submissive (no one orders her around!).
Sexual Hunger - Succubi live on sexual energy. Food is no longer required (but can still be eaten), but if the succubus goes more than 7 days without sex, they get weaker as if they were normal humans who were starving.
Predatory Instinct - As sexual predators, succubi constantly crave sex, and have difficulty denying themselves. If the opportunity for sex arises, the succubus can only decline if arousal is less than 75, and that raises arousal by 20 immediately. If arousal is above 75, the succubus can't help but try to get sex, with success or failure determined normally, and the bonuses and consequences of such being applied (basically, if you're really aroused, say, at the end of the date, you'll try to force yourself on your date, who may accept or may reject).
Seductive - Succubi exude an aura of sexuality and seductive energy. Natural Charisma cannot go below 20.
Shapely - Succubi are designed to be as attractive as possible, and revel in their attractiveness. Weight cannot go below 50, breasts cannot go below C-cup, lips cannot go below cock-sucking lips, hips cannot go below womanly hips, butt cannot go below pert, heart-shaped butt, femininity cannot go below 50.
Anything That Moves - Succubi aren't terribly discerning when it comes to their targets. Sexuality is fixed at 50 (bisexual).
Haughty - Succubi believe themselves to be above trivial concerns. Office Work, Cleaning and Technical Aptitude skills cannot go above 50, and the succubus cannot become a maid (if she's already a maid, she quits the job immediately).
Dragon
Bigger Is Better - Dragons never really stop growing. Once a month, the dragon-girl automatically grows taller. If she is already at maximum height, the growth goes to a random part of their body: weight (fatter), breasts, hips, butt, penis (if futa).
Extreme Omnivore - Dragons can eat just about anything, and a constant hunger, fueled by their slow growth and fire-breath, drives them to do just that. If the dragon-girl ends the day with fullness < 25, a random purchasable item is consumed (it can be rebought).
Oviposition - Dragons lay eggs rather than have live births. However, as these eggs can only be fertilized by another dragon, they can never hatch. Once per month, the dragon-girl lays a clutch of eggs. This activity takes the entire day to complete.
Fire Breath - Dragons smoke naturally, and no longer gain any benefits or drawbacks from cigarettes.
Hoarder - Dragons love shiny valuables, and more importantly, love having shiny valuables. For every 5 pieces of jewelry owned, the dragon-girl gets -5 arousal per day. Have less than 5 items produces a feeling of anxiety that increases arousal by 5 per day.
Draconic Strength - Dragons are extremely powerful. Strength cannot go below 60.
Werewolf
Feral Instincts - Those infected with lycanthropy will find their minds occasionally manifesting their bestial nature. While this isn't dangerous, others will find it disconcerting. 5% chance of -5 Natural Charisma for the day.
Wolfish Manners - Werewolves will find that they make fast friends and strong enemies. Friendship increases by 1 per day for any relationship character the werewolf has met, but if Friendship is less than the current threshold (they won't take your call), it will only increase by 1 every two days (currently 1 every day).
Shaggy - Werewolves will find their hair grows faster than normal (new hair length every 10 days instead of every 15).
When wolf instincts > 50, but < 100
Dangerously Seductive - Werewolves that embrace their nature find people attracted to them for reasons they can't express. Natural Charisma + 5.
Hunger - While lycanthropes only change during a full moon, as they immerse themselves in their new bestial nature, they will find the wolf growing stronger. Blood and violence will excite them, increasing arousal. Other, darker urges can be surpressed...for now.
Howling - When excited, especially during sex, werewolves tend to act more wolfish, biting and howling in excitement.
When wolf instincts = 100
Uncontrolled Predator - Lycanthropes that fully embrace their nature will find it impossible to deny their urges, and won't want to anyway. Violence and blood will excite them, arouse them, and when arousal peaks, they will find their beastial nature taking over. Someone will die to sate their lust and hunger, and the police will be hunting for the killer.
Doggirl
Loyal - Dog-girls make excellent friends. Friendship increases by 1 for any relationship character the dog-girl has met, up to the limit for the current friendship threshold.
Energetic - Dog-girls never seem to run out of energy. Fitness cannot go below 50.
Happy to See You - Dog-girls find it very difficult to conceal their emotions. Deception cannot go above 50.
Acute Senses - Dog-girls have very sensitives noses and ears, and can pick up on things other people might not even realize. They can determine if sexual advances are likely to succeed, before initiating them.

Milky Arousal (no udder only) - Cowgirls really enjoy getting milked, as their breasts are more sensitive. Arousal increases by 5% after being milked.
Succubus
Always Ready - As creatures of lust, succubi are always ready for a romp in the proverbial hay. Arousal cannot go below 50.
Depraved - Nothing is taboo for a succubus. They are experienced with all sexual kinks and fetishes, with the exception of Submissive (no one orders her around!).
Sexual Hunger - Succubi live on sexual energy. Food is no longer required (but can still be eaten), but if the succubus goes more than 7 days without sex, they get weaker as if they were normal humans who were starving.
Predatory Instinct - As sexual predators, succubi constantly crave sex, and have difficulty denying themselves. If the opportunity for sex arises, the succubus can only decline if arousal is less than 75, and that raises arousal by 20 immediately. If arousal is above 75, the succubus can't help but try to get sex, with success or failure determined normally, and the bonuses and consequences of such being applied (basically, if you're really aroused, say, at the end of the date, you'll try to force yourself on your date, who may accept or may reject).
Seductive - Succubi exude an aura of sexuality and seductive energy. Natural Charisma cannot go below 20.
Shapely - Succubi are designed to be as attractive as possible, and revel in their attractiveness. Weight cannot go below 50, breasts cannot go below C-cup, lips cannot go below cock-sucking lips, hips cannot go below womanly hips, butt cannot go below pert, heart-shaped butt, femininity cannot go below 50.
Anything That Moves - Succubi aren't terribly discerning when it comes to their targets. Sexuality is fixed at 50 (bisexual).
Haughty - Succubi believe themselves to be above trivial concerns. Office Work, Cleaning and Technical Aptitude skills cannot go above 50, and the succubus cannot become a maid (if she's already a maid, she quits the job immediately).
Dragon
Bigger Is Better - Dragons never really stop growing. Once a month, the dragon-girl automatically grows taller. If she is already at maximum height, the growth goes to a random part of their body: weight (fatter), breasts, hips, butt, penis (if futa).
Extreme Omnivore - Dragons can eat just about anything, and a constant hunger, fueled by their slow growth and fire-breath, drives them to do just that. If the dragon-girl ends the day with fullness < 25, a random purchasable item is consumed (it can be rebought).
Oviposition - Dragons lay eggs rather than have live births. However, as these eggs can only be fertilized by another dragon, they can never hatch. Once per month, the dragon-girl lays a clutch of eggs. This activity takes the entire day to complete.
Fire Breath - Dragons smoke naturally, and no longer gain any benefits or drawbacks from cigarettes.
Hoarder - Dragons love shiny valuables, and more importantly, love having shiny valuables. For every 5 pieces of jewelry owned, the dragon-girl gets -5 arousal per day. Have less than 5 items produces a feeling of anxiety that increases arousal by 5 per day.
Draconic Strength - Dragons are extremely powerful. Strength cannot go below 60.
Werewolf
Feral Instincts - Those infected with lycanthropy will find their minds occasionally manifesting their bestial nature. While this isn't dangerous, others will find it disconcerting. 5% chance of -5 Natural Charisma for the day.
Wolfish Manners - Werewolves will find that they make fast friends and strong enemies. Friendship increases by 1 per day for any relationship character the werewolf has met, but if Friendship is less than the current threshold (they won't take your call), it will only increase by 1 every two days (currently 1 every day).
Shaggy - Werewolves will find their hair grows faster than normal (new hair length every 10 days instead of every 15).
When wolf instincts > 50, but < 100
Dangerously Seductive - Werewolves that embrace their nature find people attracted to them for reasons they can't express. Natural Charisma + 5.
Hunger - While lycanthropes only change during a full moon, as they immerse themselves in their new bestial nature, they will find the wolf growing stronger. Blood and violence will excite them, increasing arousal. Other, darker urges can be surpressed...for now.
Howling - When excited, especially during sex, werewolves tend to act more wolfish, biting and howling in excitement.
When wolf instincts = 100
Uncontrolled Predator - Lycanthropes that fully embrace their nature will find it impossible to deny their urges, and won't want to anyway. Violence and blood will excite them, arouse them, and when arousal peaks, they will find their beastial nature taking over. Someone will die to sate their lust and hunger, and the police will be hunting for the killer.
Doggirl
Loyal - Dog-girls make excellent friends. Friendship increases by 1 for any relationship character the dog-girl has met, up to the limit for the current friendship threshold.
Energetic - Dog-girls never seem to run out of energy. Fitness cannot go below 50.
Happy to See You - Dog-girls find it very difficult to conceal their emotions. Deception cannot go above 50.
Acute Senses - Dog-girls have very sensitives noses and ears, and can pick up on things other people might not even realize. They can determine if sexual advances are likely to succeed, before initiating them.
Dog Humping - Dog-girls never really figure sex out. Sex skill cannot go above 50.
Panting - Dog-girls don't breathe hard, they pant.
Wind in My Fur - Dog-girls love to run. Jogging and treadmills reduce arousal but 10%.
Shaggy - Dog-girls will find their hair grows faster than normal (new hair length every 10 days instead of every 15).
Litters - Dog-girls tend to give birth to multiple children (Multiple Pregnancy Chance increases by 20 and cannot go below 20).
Heat - When capable of conceiving, dog-girls go into heat. Fertility is increased by 20, and arousal cannot go below 40.
Robot
(Most of the robot stuff is in the game already, like fixed health, fixed strength, and so on. There are only two changes)
Emotional Dissonance - Robots feel an odd disconnect from humanity, but find emotions hard to purge from their memory when they are instilled. Arousal is harder to gain (for every 5 points you would normally gain, you only gain 3), but sexual activity is unsatisfying (15 less reduction from sex and masturbation).
Software Rigidity - Robots find it difficult to learn new skills due to programming limitations. They only gain 1 skill point per day (normal is 3).

Don't be discouraged
I think I'm getting my second wind.
Last week was a nightmare. Between the cat potentially getting sick (which she was not, it was just a hairball that I didn't see and I overreacted), and getting a bill from my university about owing a metric crapton of money due to a mistake on my part (which has since been cleared up), it's a miracle I don't have an ulcer*.
But I've actually been sketching out new content the last few days. Which hasn't actually happened in...well, quite a few days. Combined with the fact that my Saturdays just cleared up for the summer (which is actually a bad thing, since that means I get paid less money), and I'm thinking it's time to build some momentum**.
The new stuff that I've been sketching out is some Lydia relationship stuff (I find her far more interesting to contemplate in terms of complexity than Genevieve), and also some transformation changes. Currently, transformations don't really do much; they're cosmetic. That's all well and good, but it's kind of dull.
Well, no more. Once I finish with this update, the next one will focus entirely on a transformation revamp. In addition to the cosmetic changes associated with an inhuman transformation, there will also be some additions to gameplay.
For example, catgirls. Cats are curious and playful creatures. So a catgirl will find fun in everything they do, which means that their arousal will go up less. However, they're also easily distracted, so skill training is harder for them. They're instinctively neat creatures, so cleaning the apartment is easier. They're great sleepers, so they can catch a catnap and reduce arousal slightly. No one really likes to hear a cat caterwauling, so catgirls will have their music skill limited to 75 and get no bonuses from singing. They have litters of kittens, so multiple pregnancy chance will go up by 20% and can't go below 20%.
Things like that. It'll be different for each transformation, so that becoming a catgirl offers a significantly different experience from, say, dragon. If you want to be a cowgirl, for example, you might want to avoid the eroticism career, or get through the dancing parts quickly, since cowgirls (especially with udders) are not the most graceful beasts, and can't increase dancing above 50. Robot-girls find it difficult to become aroused, but once they are aroused, they find it difficult to lower it, and they don't learn new skills easily, gaining only one skill point a day.
I think it will make things more interesting, and provide an incentive for avoiding transformations. I've only got about half of them planned out yet, with dragon, succubus and wings still pending. And I haven't forgotten about the dog TF requested, I just haven't gotten around to it.
*To top it all off, I'm also trying to learn a new programming language, sketching out a new, non-adult game, and putting together a plan to make an actual game for commercial production. Oh, and schoolwork, my job, and spending time with my wife and friends. It's a busy life.
**There is one little problem with that, and that's that I'm right in the middle of the last week of classes for two courses, which mean huge papers are due!

Slip
Between my Friday work day being busier than expected, my parents needing help over the weekend, Saturday not being as carefree as expected, my friends making plans and expecting me to join in, and more than a little bit of schoolwork getting in the way, I was unable to get the update out by the planned date.
Still working on it when I can (and when I'm not too exhausted to concentrate), but I'm starting to think that release dates might not be the best idea.

Streaming
Stream over. I got the groundwork for high arousal all sketched out. Now having high and low arousal will actually have effects! And if your arousal maxes out, you'll either masturbate (if in the apartment), or grab a random person for sex. And if you're a werewolf, well...
Also got the groundwork laid out for multiple pregnancies. I still have to recode the clothing, and there will be some additional effects (for example, if you're having triplets and your strength rating is low, then you'll be bedridden and someone will have to look after you), but the base is there.

Un-streamed
So I didn't stream yesterday, mostly because I kept getting interrupted by stuff, but I did work for about three or four hours nonetheless. I was able to get a couple of things done.
- New Item: Newspaper. You can buy one at the convenience store. It has reports on current events (i.e. things that you've done, to a point), as well things that will be happening during the day.
- New Item: Subscription Voucher. Using this will allow you to get the newspaper delivered once a day (except Sundays), rather than having to buy it at the store. It's delivered in the Morning.
- New Item: Coupon. Comes randomly in the mail, and you're guaranteed to get one in the Saturday edition of the newspaper. Gives you a discount on a specific item at the mall. I may change this to any one item at a specific store, but I haven't decided yet. You can only have one coupon at a time, and it's used up as soon as the item is bought.
- New Item: Komodo Smokes. A pack of cigarettes with a dragon logo. Reduces arousal a bit faster than regular smokes, but it's not FDA approved.
So mostly a bunch of setup stuff. The newspaper is intended to allow you to keep track of what's going on and what you've done, but it's also the trigger so that you can meet Dean; he's a minor celebrity, so he makes public appearances, which are announced in the newspaper. Schedule Slip
So you probably noticed that there was no update yesterday.
I could give a lot of excuses as to why, but the honest truth is that my motivation has waned a little the last couple of weeks. It hasn't completely disappeared, but it's been a little difficult to concentrate. I'm trying to get my get-up-and-go back, and in the meantime, several things have suffered.
All that being said, I apologize for the radio silence of the last week or so. I'll be back to regular updates (and streaming) next week.

Today's going to be different
I had a shitty time sleeping last night, so I'm exhausted, I have a headache, and I'm exhausted.
So rather than actually work on something, I think I'm going to try to learn something. And that something is the Unreal Development Kit. Because more games are in everyone's best interests.
I may stream parts of the learning process, but I'll be honest, I'm not sure if my attention span is where it should be right now. Considering I've spent the last ten minutes just kind of staring at my computer, well...anyway, yeah. If I do start streaming I'll update the tag on the right.
And yes, still on track for the next update day.

We had a bug fixing stream (Update 5/15)
So what did I fix today? Let's see...
Bug Fixes:
- Shopaholic, Big Eater, Light Eater, Fast Metabolism and Slow Metabolism now show up properly on the Traits listing.
- Light Eater will no longer trigger a status update every. Single. Turn.
- Changed some stuff in the Go Home From Beach function, so that hopefully clothes will stop getting stuck on you.
- Some typos fixed in Genevieve's dates.
- The form-fitting clothes can now be found in the specialty store, since I forgot to add them before. They do not have descriptions when when yet.
- You should no longer lose health at the end of the first day that you can choose your meal plan.
- Restricting underwear will no longer get taken out of your purchased clothes inventory when you get the Slave trait.
- Shoes are now taken off when you get home from walking, so that you'll no longer be able to put on two sets of shoes.
- Internet Reporter will now pay you properly, and advance time properly so that you can go home after your shift.
- When you get the special stripper clothes for declining a promotion, they'll stay in your purchased clothes inventory rather than jumping out the next time you work.
- Genevieve now has an examine option (whoops).
- If you miss the first day of work in the Journalism and Business tracks, the characters will now remark on that and your job performance will be decreased by 2, but you'll be able to work.
- If you try to go on a maid job while your cleaning supplies are depleted, the message will be a little more explicit on how you can get more.
- The nun outfit now gets worn properly when using the Get Dressed command, rather than saying it doesn't fit constantly.
- Getting offended as a maid when asked to have sex instead and walking out will move the player back to the Foyer.
- Dominant and Submissive thresholds have been increased by 15 points as a temporary measure while I try to figure out a way to make them harder to get but more worthwhile.
- New clothes (with the exception of form-fitting clothes) have been added to the proper groups so that they can be tailored.
- You can no longer clean your apartment in the Late Night time block.
- You can no longer beat the crap out of the guard in the Lab infinitely.
There were some other bugs that were reported, but I couldn't reproduce them. If you still have bugs, please let me know what they are and how you are causing them. That second part is kind of important.

12:35pm: New traits added: Shopaholic, Fast/Slow Metabolism, Big/Light Eater, Neat Freak. Now on to finishing Lydia.
3:25pm: Lydia is complete up until the point that you get her phone number. So, she's at the point that Genevieve was stuck at for months, but hopefully not as long for her. I think she'll be more fun to write anyway. Now, on to the Internet Reporter job promotion.

- New character: Lydia. She has a 10% chance of showing up in the mall when you go, but just because she's there doesn't mean she'll talk to you. After all, how would you deal with someone who walked up to you and said "hi" in the mall, when you didn't know them? You have to wait for your chance. She currently proceeds until you get her phone number.

- Adjusted trait: Slob - Apartment cleanliness will never get to Spotless, but will also never get to the worst levels of dirtiness.
- Maternity clothing descriptions are now complete for all levels of pregnancy up to birth.
- New clothes: Polo shirt and khakis, french maid outfit, japanese maid outfit, jumpsuit. All of these are for the maid job: the polo shirt will prevent maid reputation from reaching either extreme, maid outfits will prevent reputation from being professional, and jumpsuit will prevent reputation from being slutty. You can only have one type of outfit.
- You can now decline a promotion at the strip club three times and get the relevant outfit as a "reward".
- New clothes: cheerleader outfit.

- New trait: Neat Freak - Apartment cleanliness stays at spotless longer and gets dirty slower, but having a very dirty apartment will increase your arousal due to stress.
- Adjusted trait: Slob - Apartment cleanliness will never get to Spotless, but will also never get to the worst levels of dirtiness.
- Maternity clothing descriptions are now complete for all levels of pregnancy up to birth.
- New clothes: Polo shirt and khakis, french maid outfit, japanese maid outfit, jumpsuit. All of these are for the maid job: the polo shirt will prevent maid reputation from reaching either extreme, maid outfits will prevent reputation from being professional, and jumpsuit will prevent reputation from being slutty. You can only have one type of outfit.
- You can now decline a promotion at the strip club three times and get the relevant outfit as a "reward".
- New clothes: cheerleader outfit.

Birthday Stream Over!
Stream is over. Got looooots of stuff done. Added more buyable clothes (hopefully the last clothes in the game), several new traits, and laid the groundwork for some other stuff, like the new relationship NPC Lydia. Still going to be a long stream on Thursday to get everything done for the next release, but at least I'm not completely panicking any more.

So that happened
Remember when I said this week would be weird?
Obviously, there was no stream yesterday. I had every intention of doing one, but as soon as I looked at the code, I just couldn't stomach the idea of actually working. I think there might have been a variety of reasons for it, but the biggest reason was that I just wanted a day off. So I took one.
Sorry about not informing everyone at the time, and while I did enjoy not having to do anything yesterday (other than the stuff that I had to do in the real world), I also felt pretty guilty about it.
I'll be back to normal streaming tomorrow, and I'm still on track for the next release. Just because I don't stream doesn't mean I'm not working.

This week in weird
So, I've been looking at Cursed over the weekend, trying to get the bugs fixed that people have been reporting. It's an annoying process, especially recreating them. And when that gets too annoying to continue, I'm working on the Internet Reporter job (which is actually kind of easy, but for the "interview" random event, which is kind of involved and, hopefully, interesting).
Sadly, I will not be able to stream tonight. My wife's car needed some work, and we have to pick it up tonight after she's done work, which means I won't be home until almost 9pm.
And Thursday? I got volunteered to help out my sister-in-law moving some furniture. And by "moving" I mean that I need to hang out at her apartment on the other side of town while furniture is delivered. I have no idea when that will be (apparently, the delivery guys are going to give me a half-hour window when they're close by), so the Thursday stream will be interrupted for a bit. But on the plus side, I'll be able to get food! And I'll probably stream longer to make up for it.
I've updated the goals for the next update with the stuff that I want to get done, which is essentially the stuff I wanted to get done for the last update, only...this update. I've also changed the "weekly goal" for donations to a "monthly goal". Same amount ($100 x 4 weeks = $400), but it places a significantly lower imperative for donations. Besides, I only got about three donations last month, so.

Update 4/26
Did I get all of Genevieve's dates done? No. But I got all of her daytime dating stuff done. Except hiking. Ran out of steam for that.

The Why Of Dating
Why does dating suck? Well, let me tell you.
First of all, there's a lot of options for dating. A lot. I haven't added them up, but the total variations are 50+. Which is good for you, because it means that you don't have to get bored with doing the same date over and over again, but bad for me, because I have to actually write all that stuff.
And copy/paste, while it's available for some stuff, isn't really feasible for all the stuff that happens in dates. Even similar stuff, like shopping for clothes and shopping for underwear, has different interactions. And then there's all the variations in the actual dating action itself. Let's look at clothes shopping with Genevieve as an example.
You get to the mall. That's the first constant. What she does when you meet up, however, depends on what your relationship with her is. If you're just friends (i.e. you're not romantically involved), it's a simple greeting. If you're more than friends, she gives you a kiss hello (variation #1). You then head to the clothing store and browse the clothes. At this point, there's a 40% chance of Genevieve asking you which of three dresses would look better on her (variation #2), and the results of the choice you make in two cases depends on your relationship with her (variations #3, #4, and #5). If that doesn't happen, there's a 40% chance of her giving you a dress and asking you to try it on, to which you have 4 possible responses (variation #6). If that doesn't happen, then it's just a normal shopping trip.
After the trip is over, the two of you head back to the mall entrance and prepare to go home. If you're romantically involved with Genevieve and quite far along in terms of seducing her, then you automatically kiss her goodbye (or rather, she kisses you goodbye), otherwise, you have the option of kissing her goodbye (variation #7, and the only one I can actually copy/paste), and her reaction depends on your friendship (rejected, accepted but surprised, accepted). And then she heads home.
That's one dating option. In the shopping category, there's four possible activities, and only one of them has less variation than clothes. In the case of underwear, there's about half a dozen more variations (mostly because you can get an impromptu sex scene, which had variations for straight lesbian sex, small futa and large futa sex).
So it takes a while to get it all put in.

You can no longer go to the museum at all, which is fine, because none of the characters I have planned actually liked it anyway, and makeup shopping was dumb anyway. So hopefully it'll be less work on me in the future. But I still have to code all this stuff. And it takes a while.

Long stream is done
Six hours later, I've made quite a bit of progress on dating with Genevieve. Still not nearly complete, but I feel good about what I did include.

Strem Done
Annoyingly, I can't concentrate tonight. Gonna have to put in a long Thursday to make up for it.
Silent Running
It's been a few days since I posted, huh?
Not too many actual game updates to speak of. I tweaked the Strip command to no longer hang the game, which should resolve a lot of problems that are completely unrelated, like underwear getting stuck when you return from the beach, along with some stuff that no one but me cares about (trust me on this one, it's boring).
Progress on dating has been slow, simply because there's a shitload of dating options, and covering them all is brain-breaking. I don't like it. I'm going to actually cut out some of the date options (like the museum, which I've already cut out) so that I can keep my sanity while still offering some variety in the number of activities available.
I'm also starting to think that I might have been a little ambitious with the goals for this update, so I'm going to actually drop the Traits update and push that to the next update. I might end up pushing some of pregnancy stuff too, but for now that's still on the table, and if I do end up pushing it, I'm going to be pretty goddamn annoyed.
In other news, I've developed a couple of additional, relatively minor things for implementation at a later date. First of all, the Suspicion system is going to be removed, so you can transform yourself in the succubus/robot/catgirl/cowgirl/dragon/doggirl of your dreams and not have to worry about getting hauled off by the guys in white coats anymore (with an in-game justification, even). However, it will be replaced with a new Guilt system, where your illegal actions will slowly increase a scale of guilt, which runs from 0-100. Once you get above 50, you run into an increasing chance of getting arrested every time you break the law. Should you get arrested, you'll have to either pay a fine or serve time in jail, or, if you've been arrested a lot, you'll have to spend time in jail with no option for a fine (and 30 days, at that). It will be possible to run from the police to avoid arrest, with the caveat that you'll have to serve an extra day in jail if you're caught anyway, and the chance of losing your shoes if they're not really appropriate for running. Guilt will decrease slowly over time (1 point per day), but each infraction, with the exception of public drunkeness, will add at least 2 points to guilt each time. Also, one of the infractions is public indecency, so all of your desires of walking out in public with the fishnet mini dress and nothing else on can finally come true. Should you get sent to jail, you can attempt to escape, but if you're successful, the police will still be on the lookout for you. Basically, if you plan to break the law a lot, work on being fit so you can run away faster, or be prepared to spend a lot of time in the slammer.
And what implementation of lawlessness would be complete without the ability to steal stuff? So shoplifting will get implemented at some point in the future. Of course, before you start thinking that you'll be able to lift that $300 pantsuit, you should know two things. 1) Clothes will be the most difficult thing to steal (you can't steal furniture), 2) if you shoplift and fail, you'll be banned from the mall for a week. Doesn't sound like that big a deal? Well, hope you stocked up on condoms and tampons, then...

The original idea for the spell was to only make it work on people you were able to invite to your apartment, but man, talk about boring, right? So if there's no one in your apartment, or if you choose to hold the spell in reserve, then you can do that. However, it'll take 3 mana per action to maintain the spell. If you run out of mana, then the spell goes off to the nearest target: you. But anyway, assuming you can find your intended target before you run out of mana, then you can use it on them and see the effects. Some effects will be temporary, and some will be permanent, and I'm not saying which. You can't use it on relationship NPCs, though: they do have to be in your apartment to be affected by it.
So that's what I've been planning when I'm not killing myself working on dating.

I just checked my email (it's a separate account than my normal email) to discover that I haven't checked anything since March 10th.

I'll be replying to emails today, so if you get something from me and you're all "But I asked that six weeks ago!", well, now you know why. Sorry for the delays in getting emails out, I am trying to be better about this stuff but sometimes I just get wrapped up in other things.

Stream Over, Small Update
So I got quite a bit of streamlining stuff done today.
First and foremost, outfits no longer use loops, so putting them on and setting them takes no time at all. Stripping still takes time. I'm thinking about how to alter that.
The stripper job, from waitress through exotic/private dancer has been completely streamlined. Fewer clicks, a lot of automation, and, as far as I can tell, absolutely no loss of any content.
Finally, I added a bit of a tutorial to the beginning of the game (which you can skip), in case any new players don't know how RAGS works. This is honestly something I should have added about six months ago, but better late than never. It's basic RAGS functionality for now, but I'm thinking of a couple of new features that might be fun to add if I get off my lazy butt, that would probably need a bit of explanation.
I've uploaded a new version (4/12), but there is no new content in it. It's just streamlining. So download if you're interested in that or if the outfit system is driving you nuts with the slowdown. Otherwise, wait until the next version.

Just FYI
Not sure when I'll start streaming tomorrow. I'm sick and completely exhausted. But keep watching this space...I'll let you know.
Exhausted Progress
I started to work on Genevieve's date reactions this morning, then got bored, lost focus, and passed out for a while from exhaustion.
When I woke up, the stripper job had been redone and clothing was re-tooled to not use loops, along with a couple of other things. So...I guess I'm sleep-coding now?
The stripper will be much easier to deal with going forward. Instead of getting to the changing room, stripping, putting on your clothes, putting on your shoes, moving to the main room, selecting "Get to Work", then moving back to the changing room...well, that's all automated. So you get to the strip club and select "Get to Work" from the locker, and it will put on the clothing appropriate to your job level, let you choose your shoes (similar to when you're leaving the apartment), move you to the main room automatically, and show you the results of your work day before moving you back to the changing room and putting your normal clothes on (have I mentioned that I love how easy the Outfit system makes things for me? Because I totally do).
So one click makes the whole process move forward. This does mean I have to choose your clothes for you, but I doubt anyone will be too upset about that. You still wear the waitress outfit as the waitress, obviously. Novice strippers wear the slutty schoolgirl outfit, strippers wear the cheerleader outfit, and exotic/private dancers wear the white gown. There is a bit of an advantage: knowing what you're going to wear means I can re-write the scenes to account for those clothes.
"But Anonymous Man! Won't that mean we never get to see the descriptions of the clothes when we're wearing them?" Well, first of all, who are you, and how are you talking to me? Second of all, no. See, you know how sometimes you're offered a promotion and you have the chance to turn it down, and there's seriously no reason to turn it down until you get to the Private/Exotic Dancer split? Well, now there is: if you turn down a promotion three times, then you get a "take-home" version of the costume you're wearing for that particular promotion. So if you decide not to progress beyond the stripper three times, then you get to take home your very own cheerleader outfit. Of course, the outfits will be of limited use, but may have some benefits in, for example, the bedroom.
Clothing being retooled to not use loops isn't that big a deal, but it will resolve a lot of the problems with the Outfit system like, for example, wearing two sets of stockings or what-have-you. It's a pain in the ass to code, though. I'll leave it at that.
Other miscellaneous changes?
- Every time period in which you lactate (i.e. you get the message about your breasts getting a little fuller) lowers your overall lactation rate. The more you're lactating, the more it lowers it.
- A lactation accident in your apartment lowers cleanliness by 1.
- Set up a system where, if you call someone up and ask them to go out, then call someone else and ask them to go out, the first person will get mad because you're standing them up, basically. As a corollary, if you ask someone out on a date and then don't go (you asshole), you'll get the same reaction, just at the end of the day. This won't see any real use until I start adding other people that you can date, but the framework is there. Framework is important.
Some other stuff.
- Much like the maid job, if you set up a date and then show up late, you can still do it, but your date will be hurt by it.
- If you ask someone out on a date, and they're either a good friend or in love with you, but really doesn't like the particular activity (example: Genevieve really hates birdwatching), then there's a chance they'll still do it with you, but it will strain your friendship a bit, and your opportunities to advance the friendship will be limited.
- I mentioned a few things during the stream last night. The only one of particular importance (that I can remember) is that I mentioned I came up with a system where the player can change their living situation (i.e. move out of their apartment), and potentially move into a penthouse, a smaller apartment, or a house. Not sure if I want to do that though, as while there would be tangible benefits (the penthouse, for example, having a built-in gym so you only spend half a block with the "Go to Gym" option, rather than a full block), but it would be a pain to implement.

Novice strippers wear the slutty schoolgirl outfit, strippers wear the cheerleader outfit, and exotic/private dancers wear the white gown. There is a bit of an advantage: knowing what you're going to wear means I can re-write the scenes to account for those clothes.
"But Anonymous Man! Won't that mean we never get to see the descriptions of the clothes when we're wearing them?" Well, first of all, who are you, and how are you talking to me? Second of all, no. See, you know how sometimes you're offered a promotion and you have the chance to turn it down, and there's seriously no reason to turn it down until you get to the Private/Exotic Dancer split? Well, now there is: if you turn down a promotion three times, then you get a "take-home" version of the costume you're wearing for that particular promotion. So if you decide not to progress beyond the stripper three times, then you get to take home your very own cheerleader outfit. Of course, the outfits will be of limited use, but may have some benefits in, for example, the bedroom.
Clothing being retooled to not use loops isn't that big a deal, but it will resolve a lot of the problems with the Outfit system like, for example, wearing two sets of stockings or what-have-you. It's a pain in the ass to code, though. I'll leave it at that.
Other miscellaneous changes?
- Every time period in which you lactate (i.e. you get the message about your breasts getting a little fuller) lowers your overall lactation rate. The more you're lactating, the more it lowers it.
- A lactation accident in your apartment lowers cleanliness by 1.
- Set up a system where, if you call someone up and ask them to go out, then call someone else and ask them to go out, the first person will get mad because you're standing them up, basically. As a corollary, if you ask someone out on a date and then don't go (you asshole), you'll get the same reaction, just at the end of the day. This won't see any real use until I start adding other people that you can date, but the framework is there. Framework is important.
Some other stuff.
- Much like the maid job, if you set up a date and then show up late, you can still do it, but your date will be hurt by it.
- If you ask someone out on a date, and they're either a good friend or in love with you, but really doesn't like the particular activity (example: Genevieve really hates birdwatching), then there's a chance they'll still do it with you, but it will strain your friendship a bit, and your opportunities to advance the friendship will be limited.
- I mentioned a few things during the stream last night. The only one of particular importance (that I can remember) is that I mentioned I came up with a system where the player can change their living situation (i.e. move out of their apartment), and potentially move into a penthouse, a smaller apartment, or a house. Not sure if I want to do that though, as while there would be tangible benefits (the penthouse, for example, having a built-in gym so you only spend half a block with the "Go to Gym" option, rather than a full block), but it would be a pain to implement.

Stream Time was Then
Managed to get Genevieve's telephone date reactions coded in. Now, on to the next step: the actual date.

The Next Update
So the weekend has passed, and the major bugs have been kind of fixed, as far as I can tell based on the reports that I've seen/gotten.
And with a couple of days of downtime (in which I swear I had no idea what to do with myself), it's time to get started on the next update. Er, tomorrow. It's late, I'm not a robot.
So, what's planned for the next version?
1) Internet Reporter job. This will be a promotion from the Blogger job, and...I really don't have much to say about it, to be honest. It's kind of vanilla.
2) More pregnancy content (I swear, I'm never going to be finished with pregnancy content). Specifically, the ability to have twins and triplets, and the consequences thereof. Also, some additional birthing options, like hiring a midwife or hypnosis instead of a regular hospital birth (with advantages and disadvantages for each).
3) The biggie: Relationship updates. Ideally, I want to have Genevieve actually date-able, which means that I have to chart and code her reactions (oh wait, I have 50% of those done, ha!), then create the locations and the events that can happen on those dates. With any luck, I'll be able to get to the point that you can start seducing her, if you're into that, and also the point at which she starts reacting to your actions. Like, for example, if you smoke and decide to light up around her, she'll hate it, then be disgusted, then ambivalent, then eventually ask to borrow one of your cigarettes (at which point she becomes a regular smoker herself). So at the end of this, the Genevieve relationship STILL won't be done, but she'll have significantly more options available.
3a) The introduction of the new relationship characters: Lydia, Dean, and the third guy who's name I don't remember. They might get to the point where Genevieve is now (you can get their phone number), but don't expect anything beyond that.
4) Miscellaneous additions, like the form-fitting exercise clothes, a few new traits, and so on.
This is going to be a rather large update, so it might take a while to do it. I'm setting a deadline for three weeks from Thursday, April 26th. We'll see what happens.
